Tom Martin

2009
140cm by 70cm
acrylic on panel

For a while now i had wanted to paint a Nude, as i have never painted one before. But commitments last year ment i wasnt able to do it straight away. Now seemed a good time to try one out, so here it is.

i enjoyed painting it, the techniques used were slightly different to what i would use in my usual subjects. so it made a nice change.

im still undecided as to what to call it...

here is the link to the source photograph which i used here on deviant art. the page of M.J. Ranum

thanks!!

looks too good for your first but I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt since you have a gallery of other interests to back it up.

ok, so you pretty much have proven that you are the king of hyper realism.
Does this mean we might see you stray from cola cans and candy wrappers!?!
Do an abstraction or surrealism or a fantasy scene with a winged unicorn fighting a pink dragon, whatever floats your boat, I just can't take any more ingredients lists rendered in perfect photographic awesomeness! ....pleeeeeaaaasssee!!!
:excited:

vacant eyed dreamers stuff the seeds of unsanity
under their eyes and into their veins all across this world
WHY be the same.
