TOM MARTIN

''A little piece of Italy''
2009
acrylic on panel
165cm by 105cm..

here is my latest piece, i am pleased with the outcome of it,as it is probably technically one of my best..

it took four weeks to paint, which i must admit i was a little dissapointed with, i thought initially it would be more around 3 weeks.. the reflection and the spaghetti progressed at a good rate, but the jar was tough... the label especially, due to there being tonal shading in the labels design combined with highlights over the top of that aswel to suggest its shape..

anyways, its here now, so drop us a comment if you like it..

thanks for looking...

I've been browsing your gallery...truely amazing talent you have! Just wondered if you have artworks in the International Guild of Realism? It's a website dedicated to this type of realism :) I Really have enjoyed the journey through your gallery!

:la: pastaa!~ I'm so hungry right now^^
I love the reflection !
If I could say just something : I think the top of the jar is a bit twisted... I mean, the perspective is weird^^But don't worry, it's not that important =P
congrats anyway :iconclappingplz:

i think its to do with the camera lens being such a wide angle and me been so close in when taking the shot. it puts prespectives out sometimes..

I see... It must be very difficult to draw something big like that
