I'm sorry for the few comments, but it is just perfect
Seeing this close up had left a lasting impression in my mind and seeing it here again only renews the feelings I had when I saw it and discussed my it with Simon. There is just enough visual information to create the phenomenal illusion depicted here.

Foreshortening and chiaroscuro are of themselves subjects that many competently artists avoid, and are well advised to do so. Particularly where you have isolated the object, daring the viewer to inspect it and the accuracy of tonal perspective is nothing short of masterful. I recall seeing the amount of paint used, and the way it was applied - and as I said then, this is just brilliantly painted.

wow. why there are only few comments on it? your realism is amazing..how do you work with acrylic? I am curious to know :)
i work with acrylic mainly at present. but i do do oils, this is acrylic.
I'm at a loss of words...
do you have a close up of this? I'm really curious to know what it looks like up close!
